Founder’s Letter

From Phetmany Viyadeth, Founder of UTD Education

Dear Students, Parents, and Partners,

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about UTD Education.

My name is Phetmany Viyadeth, and I founded UTD with one clear mission: to make global education accessible for every Lao student who dares to dream bigger than their circumstances.

Growing up in Luang Prabang, I always believed that education was the most powerful bridge to opportunity. But like many young people in Laos, I had to navigate my path to overseas studies without guidance, direction, or support. Every exam, application, and scholarship process felt like a long, confusing road with no map. I made mistakes. I lost time. I paid unnecessary costs. And I often felt alone.

But those challenges became my motivation.

I promised myself that one day, I would return and build the system. I wish I had a clear, structured, and supportive pathway for young Lao students to reach the world without wasting years or resources.

Today, UTD Education has helped over 500 students secure scholarships abroad, amounting to more than USD 2.5 million in awards. Each year, more than 100 students from across Laos join our programs, preparing academically, emotionally, and professionally for life overseas.

And each success reminds me why this work matters.

At UTD, we believe that studying abroad is not just about going to another country.
It is about opening the mind, expanding the heart, and returning with the skills and confidence to create meaningful impact at home.

We guide every student with care, helping them select the right certificates, the right pathway, and the right timing so they can achieve the future they deserve. We work closely with parents to ensure clarity, transparency, and trust. And we partner with schools and organizations that share our vision of lifting Lao youth to global standards.

My dream is simple:

To see every young Lao student walk a shorter, smarter, and more empowered path than I did.
To see them step into the world with courage.
And to see them return as leaders who will build a brighter future for Laos.
